01:08
Whether it's your own or that of a member of your cell group 或是你的小组的家人 Through the church 我们都借着教会的这一个 You can say it is an organization or a group You can say it is an organization or a group 或是一个群体也好 In this group 在这一个群体当中 We see 我们看见 God's amazing and wonderful work So you know the church is so interesting It's so amazing. It looks like a place with amazing power It's so amazing. It looks like a place with amazing power So we are going to think about 所以当我们今天要来思考 How churches follow Jesus 教会如何跟随耶稣的时候 One thing we need to face is 我们面对一件事情是 What is the essence of the church? I think over the past two weeks Pastor Samuel has talked to us about I think over the past two weeks Pastor Samuel has talked to us about 不断地跟我们谈论有关于 What is the church. The essence of the church I think under the leadership of Pastor Samuel for so many years 我想这也是我们跟 I think under the leadership of Pastor Samuel for so many years What we often hear from his sharing Pastor Samuel has a very unique revelation about and understanding of the church Pastor Samuel has a very unique revelation about and understanding of the church Which God has given him Which God has given him 所赏赐给他的 Banner Church was established on such a foundation Banner Church was established on such a foundation Banner Church was established on such a foundation So today while we are thinking about this topic So today while we are thinking about this topic I would like to invite everyone to look back 我想我也邀请大家 I would like to invite everyone to look back 我们更多的回顾 On your experiences of being fulfilled in this church On your experiences of being fulfilled in this church
02:09
You can look back on these 你回顾这些 While attending this church 你所参与在这个教会当中 How you have felt and what you have experienced 你所感受到 你所体会到的 Let's try to understand 我们试着去明白 When Pastor Samuel set up this church What was in his mind? What is the image he saw? So that every one of us in this generation How do we follow Jesus? How can we follow Jesus in this church? How can we follow Jesus in this church? The main thing we are facing The main thing we are facing The image in my mind is that of a balance made of stones The image in my mind is that of a balance made of stones 一个天平的画面 What is that? We are all independent individuals Whether before or after we believed in the Lord 不管我们信主前还是信主后 Since we became independent 我们自从独立之后 From the nurturing grace of our parents 我们从父母的这个养育之恩下 After we grew up 我们长大之后 We felt 我们就觉得 We should be independent 自己应该是一个独立的个体 So we face many things in our lives based on our personal status So we face many things in our lives based on our personal status So we face many things in our lives based on our personal status 许许多多的事情 But we know 但是我们也知道 We are not always independent 我们不是永远是一个独立的个体 We connect with others 我们会跟别人连结 So when we went to school
03:10
We connected with our classmates and teachers When we entered the workplace We connected with colleagues and supervisors 我们会跟主管同事有一些的连结 When we got married 我们结了婚 We had connections with our spouse and children We had connections with our spouse and children When we joined the church We had connections with the brothers and sisters in the church We had connections with the brothers and sisters in the church The essence of the church The essence of this group Is it an individual or a group? Maybe we often think that The church is a group The church seems to be a place where we go 教会好像就是我们去到一个地方 We enter a building 我们去到一个建筑物里面 There are a lot of people inside 然后这里面有好多的人 Everyone is worshipping God 大家在敬拜神 So when we go to church or our cell group We are joining a certain group Ok, so you are from a different church OK所以你是不同教会的人 You belong to a different group. OK This is the first understanding of the church we often have It may seem like this 大概是这个样子 After you have come to church for a while As you started to read the Bible You began to understand the Word of God After you started attending equipping courses You started to discover the essence of the church It is more than just an organization It is more than an enterprise
It seems that the essence of the church is 好像教会的本质更应该是 The gathering of God's children As children of God, each of us represents the church As children of God, each of us represents the church We often hear this statement during Sunday sermons or in some courses We often hear this statement during Sunday sermons or in some courses We often hear this statement during Sunday sermons or in some courses So is the church a group or an individual? Or is she both an individual and a group? I found this image of stones 我找到这张图片是一个石头 Everyone can see that 大家看得出来 It is a balance made up of stones Then you see the individual is like the big rock A group is a pile of rocks A group is a pile of rocks In fact, this image really illustrates 其实这个图像很能够表达 What the church is 教会是什么 The church is a group and an individual The church is a group and an individual 又同时是群体 We are that stone 我们同时是那颗石头 At the same time we are those stones that have been stacked up 但我们同时是那些石头 At the same time we are those stones that have been stacked up 所堆积而成的一个群体 So the church is our mission and responsibility So the church is our mission and responsibility So the church is our mission and responsibility 也是我们每一个人的责任 At the same time 但是同时也是 Only when we gather together 当我们聚在一起的时候 Can we perfectly create 我们才能够完美实践的 God's image of the church Maybe I'll be more straightforward
05:12
None of us can respond to God without joining a church None of us can respond to God without joining a church None of us can respond to God without joining a church Our calling and mission in our lives 在我们生命中的呼召跟使命 Because Jesus gave us 因为耶稣给我们 A very clear command 一个非常清楚的命令 "By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another" 是你们要彼此相爱 "By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another" 众人因此认出你们是我的门徒 As for "If you love one another" 而彼此相爱这件事情 This means that you can't do it alone, right? What we can do by ourselves is to love ourselves and love God What we can do by ourselves is to love ourselves and love God But the command of "If you love one another" 但是彼此相爱的命令 Urges us to enter a church Urges us to enter a church To connect with others in this group Through this connection we experience How wonderful it is to love one another 彼此相爱是何等的美好 So from Shou Yan's testimony What we can see is 我们看得到是 The support of members of our cell group You can be moved by the support and dedication in this story You can be moved by the support and dedication in this story Because you have also experienced that 是因为你自己也经历过 What a wonderful thing it is to love one another And such things can only be interpreted and expressed perfectly in the church of Christ And such things can only be interpreted and expressed perfectly in the church of Christ This is also the will of Jesus for the church Today I want to invite everyone to think about
06:13
This topic is 这个主题叫做 How do churches follow Jesus I want to think about this from these two perspectives of the group and the individual I want to think about this from these two perspectives of the group and the individual 这两个层面来思考 As individuals we enter 我们会从个人来切入 Because the church is 因为教会既然是 Everyone overlaps 每一个人所堆栈起来 Everyone's lives are brought together 我们每一个人的生命所集合 A stacking up of life forms Everyone's life is of the utmost importance, do you agree? If each one of us 如果我们每一个人 We often say 我们常常说 We often say that each member of this team is very important, right? We often say that each member of this team is very important, right? Every person in the church is very important We are not only important in terms of our function We are also very important in terms of our life connections Because the life of this church The type of life form that it ultimately becomes 最终形成一个什么样子的生命体 Is decided together 是由我们每一个人一起决定的 Every person's life status 我们每一个人的生命状态 Every one of our spiritual statuses 我们每一个人的属灵状态 Our yearning for God 我们对于上帝的渴慕 Our yearning to pursue God's will These all determine what this church looks like So, what this church looks like is not decided by Pastor Samuel It is not decided by the pastors But by each person sitting here 而是我们在座的每一位 And every one of our family members online 所有在在线的每一个家人 Including our online church 包含我们现在的网络教会 Actually, this is the same concept The kind of church we are is closely related to each of us
07:15
The kind of church we are is closely related to each of us So, the Scripture I want to use today is Book of Romans chapter 12, verses one and two 罗马书第12章1到2节 I think that everyone is familiar with this Scripture We just read this Scripture We just read this Scripture From this Scripture we will think about 我们会从这段经文来思想 How each of us is to follow God How we are to follow Jesus 我们要怎么样跟随耶稣 Especially in this generation 特别在这个世代当中 There is another Scripture that I want to share with everyone There is another Scripture that I want to share with everyone First Peter chapter two, verse nine We will use these two Scriptures to make some comparisons We will use these two Scriptures to make some comparisons Of Paul's perspective and Peter's perspective Of Paul's perspective and Peter's perspective How the church follows God as individuals and as a group How the church follows God as individuals and as a group To understand God's will for the church So, let's read First Peter chapter two, verse nine, shall we? So, let's read First Peter chapter two, verse nine, shall we?
08:16
Based on these two Scriptures we will think about this 就会从这两段经文 Based on these two Scriptures we will think about this 我们一起来思想 The church and even us individually 到底教会以至于我们个人 How we follow God 我们要怎么样跟随神 Ok. So, these two questions Will form the basis of today's message You can try and think about and answer these questions How we as individuals follow Jesus And we, that is the church, follow Jesus For you, this may be your cell group Ok. You can think about something specific OK你可以想到很具体 Perhaps it is how your cell group responds to God Perhaps it is your supervisory zone Perhaps it is your pastoral zone Perhaps it is the entire church Perhaps it is the ministry that you are involved in 可能是你所参与的事工 Perhaps it is the team you are a member of 可能是你所与的团队 Perhaps it is an area that you have a passion for How do we, this group, respond to God? Ok. So, in the beginning of Romans it says Here, we see that Paul brought He approached the brothers and sisters of the church in Rome with a humble attitude
09:18
He approached the brothers and sisters of the church in Rome with a humble attitude He encouraged them by saying, present your bodies as a living sacrifice You know that this phrase, living sacrifice Before this appears in the Book of Romans This concept is not seen in the Bible And no one knew what it meant to be a living sacrifice Because when people thought about a sacrificial offering When they thought about a sacrificial offering No matter if Jews or Greeks 犹太人也好或是希腊人也好 Or the Gentiles 这些外邦人也好 When they thought about the religious act of offering a sacrifice 想到的就是那些宗教的祭祀的行为 Especially when Jews heard sacrificial offering 特别是当犹太人听到献祭的时候 They thought about what was written in the Law of Moses What was written in the Book of Leviticus The many rules related to offerings What kinds of offerings needed to be prepared How they were to be prepared What features they had to have 要什么样的特性 To be able to be a holy sacrifice There are a lot of detailed specifications about this So, no one knew what was meant by a living sacrifice 所以没有人知道什么叫做活祭 But, you know 但是 你知道 These rules about sacrifices recorded in the Book of Leviticus are very complicated These rules about sacrifices recorded in the Book of Leviticus are very complicated 祭物这件事情是很复杂的 They are very cumbersome 很繁琐的 There were many conditions that restricted sacrificial offerings Sacrificial offerings had to be of a specific type 必须是某种特定的样式 To be considered suitable 才能够被归类为一个合格的献祭
10:20
The sacrificial offerings that the Jews needed to give Through sacrificial offerings we express 是因为我们透过献祭来表达 We worship God 我们对上帝的敬拜 At the same time, through animal offerings our sins The death of offered animals cleans away our sin 这些祭物的死亡来洁净我们的罪 So, the Jews 所以犹太人是 God gave the conditions regarding sacrificial offerings 上帝颁布了这些献祭的条例 To enable the Jews to establish a unique relationship with God To enable the Jews to establish a unique relationship with God This relationship, through the sacrificial offering this connection was made But because such sacrificial offerings were too cumbersome But because such sacrificial offerings were too cumbersome They came with too many rules 太多很多的规条 很多的规定了 When the Israelites 所以以至于当以色列人 Following the progression of history, ethnic development, growth of the nation Following the progression of history, ethnic development, growth of the nation People gradually forgot what was behind the sacrificial offering The real meaning it represented Even that the sacrificial offering originally represented worship Even that the sacrificial offering originally represented worship This gradually became a form, a law So, it lost its vitality 所以它就失去它的生命力 It lost its 它失去了它在 Its main function of connecting people and God Its main function of connecting people and God In the Book of Romans Paul proposed this concept of a living sacrifice In the Book of Romans Paul proposed this concept of a living sacrifice

OK You know that we want to see 那你知道我们就要来看 What does God demand of a sacrifice? What does God demand of a sacrifice? What does God demand of a sacrifice? In the Book of Romans we just read Present your bodies as a living sacrifice 将身体献上当做活祭 After that it says 它后面说了 Holy and acceptable to God That is to say, this is what is demanded of a sacrifice 也就是说这个祭物被要求一件事情 It must be holy 是它必须是圣洁的 What is holy?
14:26
Choosing to live a life that is pleasing to God The Book of Romans tells us 罗马书告诉我们说 This living sacrifice is holy and acceptable to God Oftentimes when we think of what is holy I don't know what you will think of 我不知道你会想到什么 Maybe you will think about many rules Many things you cannot do 很多不能做的事情 And words you cannot say Speaking of holiness, we may think of 圣洁我们可能会想到 Our thoughts 我们的思想 We cannot think about some bad things 不能够想一些不太好的事情 We may think that 我们可能会觉得 We have so many thoughts That are displeasing to God It seems like those things are not so holy 好像那些东西代表着我们不太圣洁 So, when we say 所以当我们说 When we become Christians 我们成为基督徒的时候 We can naturally say that 我们可以很自然的说出 We can say this with confidence That we are the son or daughter of God But I don't know how many people 但我不知道有多少人 How many of us 我们当中有多少人 Can say that we're holy with great confidence 你可以很有自信的说出我是圣洁的 "I'm holy" 我是圣洁的 But you have to know that Paul And the apostles of the early churches When they wrote to the churches They called those whom they were addressing These brothers and sisters. "You do your part to be holy" 你先做好你该做的成为圣洁 "As you become holy" 你成为圣洁的人 "You build a relationship with Me" 你才能够跟我建立关系 "Because I am holy" 因为我是圣洁的 "If you're not holy, you cannot come to Me" 你不圣洁 不要到我这里来 We think that holiness is something we can achieve We think that holiness is something we can achieve But when we are in the Salvation of Christ 可是当我们在基督的救恩里面 We see holiness 我们看见的是圣洁 How far away it is from us 是离我们何等的遥远 But the Salvation of Jesus Christ made us 但是耶稣基督的救恩 But the Salvation of Jesus Christ made us In other words, what God meant was that 换句话说 上帝的意思是 "You are holy because I am Holy" 你会成为圣洁 因为我是圣洁的 Actually, this example 其实这个例子 In fact, this idea is not strange to us 其实这个概念大家并不陌生 You can imagine this 你想象一下 Where you live now 你现在所住的地方 Maybe you live with your roommate Or you have a family You may live with your family Or you're living in your parents' house You're living with your family You know it's challenging to live under the same roof, don't you? You know it's challenging to live under the same roof, don't you? 是一件蛮挑战的事情 对不对 Why is it that? Because everyone's habits are different Everyone has their own sleeping time And different standards of cleanliness
19:32
Some people think the floor should be dust free Only that can be called clean For others, as long as they can find what they need They think it's clean, right? When people live together, they influence one another. OK But you know if you earnestly want to live with them But you know if you earnestly want to live with them 想要跟这群人住在一起 No matter who they are to you, OK OK Be it your roommates or family We all make some, let's not say compromises We make some changes, don't we? 我们会做出一些改变 对不对 We make some changes 我们会做出一些改变 For what? So that we can live together, we can do it So, we make some changes And you know once you've made this change for a long time 而你知道这改变久了 You're changed by it 你就改变了 You have some new habits You can't throw your socks around when you're home, right? You produce a new lifestyle It's because you live with a person or group It's because you live with a person or group Many people after getting married
20:32
Often hear this 就常常会听到一种 就是评价 "You look more and more like your wife" 就是你跟你老婆越来越像 "You two look more and more like a couple" 你们越来越有夫妻脸 "As a couple you are consistent in what you say" 你们夫妻怎么越来越口径一致 "What you say is similar" 你们讲的话都一样 Do you know why? Because when you sincerely work to get along with someone Because when you sincerely work to get along with someone You two will become more similar So, if we truly build up a relationship with God So, if we truly build up a relationship with God We will grow to be more like Him 我们就会跟祂越来越像 So, holiness is a gift Through this relationship, it's a wonderful gift and blessing Through this relationship, it's a wonderful gift and blessing 我们生命中美好的祝福跟礼物 From this perspective 如果我们用这个眼光来看 Holiness is actually something exciting, isn't it? Holiness is actually something exciting, isn't it? And because our lives become different And because our lives become different Ok, we just talked about individuals 好 刚刚讲的是个人 We become holy 我们成为圣洁 How about the church? What is the holiness of the church? We just read chapter two, verse nine, which says For us, we don't have too much feeling about this Scripture For us, we don't have too much feeling about this Scripture But do you know that when a Jew reads this 可是你知道犹太人 But do you know that when a Jew reads this 看到这句话的时候 What does he or she think of?
21:33
About his or her ancestors They were called out from Egypt by God They were led out from Egypt by God When God gave them the laws God called them like this 是如此称呼他们的 Let's read this 我们来念一下 The Book of Exodus, chapter 19, verse nine. And the background at that time, it was when 当时的时空背景 是在一个 The Jews had not yet built up their own nation They had not yet become a nation or a culture They had not yet become a nation or a culture And they were enslaved by the Egyptians for 400 years 而他们被埃及人奴役了400年 So, basically 所以他们其实基本上 They didn't have their own culture They didn't have their own identity They didn't have their own identity The concept of an ethnic group They didn't have their own religious beliefs Because all they heard and understood 因为他们所听的所了解的 Was related to Egypt 都是有关埃及的一切 They only remembered that 他们唯一记得的是 Their ancestor Jacob 他们先祖雅各 The Lord that he worshipped and served They heard that He is the God called Jehovah But what kind of God is He? What was His relationship with them? As for the Jews at that time They couldn't have imagined God's most important calling for them 而上帝对他们的第一个
22:34
God's most important calling for them 最主要的呼召 In addition to calling them to leave Egypt The most important thing is that 最重要的就是 "You shall be to Me a kingdom of priests" 你们要作我祭司的国度 "And a holy nation" 为圣洁的国民 So, the English version says 所以它的英文是说 a kingdom of priests and a holy nation So, I want to share with you 所以我想要跟你分享 One very important thing 一件很重要的事情 It's easy for us to ignore 是我们很容易忽略的事情 That is, holiness 就是圣洁 From the very beginning, it has been a collective calling It's one thing for a person to be a holy vessel When we as a group are to be holy It's a completely different picture God's calling for holiness in the beginning was collective God's calling for holiness in the beginning was collective He saw this group of Israelites become a nation He saw this group of Israelites become a nation They became a kingdom of priests They became a holy nation When people of that generation When they saw the Israelites 看见以色列人的时候 They saw holiness 他们看见什么叫做圣洁 And what is meant by God's people 什么叫做上帝的子民 Everyone, today, that baton has been passed to the church Everyone, today, that baton has been passed to the church

24:38
Paul continues to tell us 保罗继续告诉我们 他说 This is spiritual worship 你们如此事奉乃是理所当然的 You are to minister like this 你们如此事奉 I was not so happy when I saw this Because I felt that we are forced to minister 因为你就觉得又要被逼迫又要服事 Right? That is, if your zone pastor comes to you And invites you to be responsible for a ministry Or he or she invites you to join a ministry 或是邀请你加入某一个服事的时候 And says 他跟你说 You are to minister like this And you feel forced to do this But what Paul said about ministering Actually, it was more than the ministry at the church The ministry he talked about 他所说的事奉 It was what we just said, a lifestyle that is holy and pleasing to God It was what we just said, a lifestyle that is holy and pleasing to God 圣洁讨神喜悦的生活方式 This is our worship 这才是我们的敬拜 This is our ministry 这才是我们的事奉 And we should minister like this Because that's a gift So, everything should be like that 所以这一切都是理所当然 This is very reasonable 这是非常合情合理的 And it is not a heavy yoke That is put on us 要加在我们的身上 Rather, it's a gift given to us 而是这是一个礼物要赐给我们 He said 但是他说 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind
25:42
I don't know how we are to do this 我不知道我们要怎么做到 Don't be conformed to this world 不要效法这个世界 Because when you try to live out 因为当你试着活出 A holy life 圣洁的生命的时候 You will encounter problems and difficulties Because this world differs from all that we think and the values that we identify with Because this world differs from all that we think and the values that we identify with When we, whether it be an individual or a group When we want to live a holy life 想要活出一个圣洁的生命 We try the ways that are pleasing to God To respond to the life we face 来响应我们所面对的生活的时候 We encounter difficulties 我们会遇到困难 We encounter obstacles 我们会遇到阻碍的 Because some people don't like us doing this Some people don't like us using this way To deal with things and face issues So, we don't know what to do So, we are facing a choice Of whether to compromise or not 那我们要不要妥协 Of whether to compromise or not Some sayings or values that appear good or that are trendy Some sayings or values that appear good or that are trendy Some sayings or values that appear good or that are trendy Do we have to follow them? I want to share a Scripture with you 我想跟大家分享一个经文 In First Corinthians, chapter two, verse 16, it says What I want to encourage you is 我想要鼓励大家的是
26:42
Not conforming to this world is difficult Not conforming to this world seems impossible Not conforming to this world seems impossible Not conforming to this world 不要效法世界 It seems that we cannot do it by relying on our own strength It seems that we cannot do it by relying on our own strength But I want to encourage everyone 但是我要鼓励大家的是 We can do it 我们都可以 All of us can stop conforming to this world Because God is with us 因为上帝与我们同在 Moreover, His gift of holiness is in us We can live out a different life Because the heart of Christ is in us You might ask, "If not conforming to this world" 你可能会说不要效法世界 "Who should I conform to?" The Bible tells us to conform to Christ To conform to the image of Christ in our lives To conform to the image of Christ in our lives So that we can live it out 以至于我们可以活出来 In the Gospel of John This is what Jesus said 这是耶稣说的话 Jesus told His disciples 耶稣告诉门徒说 "My sheep listen to My voice" 我的羊听我的声音 "I know them" 我也认识他们 I believe every one of us has heard God's voice I believe every one of us has heard God's voice I also believe God continues to speak to our hearts I also believe God continues to speak to our hearts So that we can follow His will 使我们可以跟随祂的心意 And we can live according to His will 我们可以按着祂的心意来生活 This is very important 这是非常重要的一件事情
27:43
Meanwhile 而同时 The reason why we can hear God's voice is Because we have an intimate relationship with God We have a real connection with God 我们跟神有一个真实的连结 This relationship is real 这个关系是真实的 So that in our various situations We can hear God's voice So the second heading I want to share with you is You need to renew your mind To keep the relationship with God Keep the relationship with God This is such an important thing When we truly embrace this new idea or thought You know we need to practice it Paul was actually reminding us of one thing We need to follow God and live holy lives We're not practicing austerity and fasting We're not practicing austerity and fasting 然后禁食祷告 Fasting is important 禁食祷告很重要 But it is not a means to becoming holy All we need to do is practice Which is to transform our minds Because before we were saved We were all living in this world 我们都活在这个世界上 In our biological families 我们在原生家庭中 When we grew up 我们成长的背景中 All of us had accumulated Many ideas about this world and how we should live in it 对于这个世界 Many ideas about this world and how we should live in it 跟如何生活的一种认知 But these ideas greatly limited our imagination of life
28:45
But these ideas greatly limited our imagination of life 对于人生的想象 They limited the way we see this world and ourselves They limited the way we see this world and ourselves When we believed in Jesus We were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit But if our minds are not transformed It is difficult to change When you face similar difficulty You might think, "I can't do it" 你还是会觉得我大概做不到吧 "I will probably fail" 我大概会失败吧 "I probably can't overcome" 我大概没有办法胜过吧 So just by knowing that we are holy It takes practice, doesn't it? We need to practice being changed This kind of thought pattern We need to renew our minds So that we can see 我们能够重新就去看见 Our true identity 我们到底真正的身分 And how God sees us 还有神怎么看我们 Isn't it the same for the church? In First Peter it says 彼得前书 说 "A people for His own possession" 是属神的子民 When God chose the Israelites When God said to them 上帝跟他们说 "You are the people for My possession" 你们是属于我的百姓的时候 What a great honor 那是一个多大的殊荣 "The Creator of the universe" 一个创造宇宙的神 "He is connected to us " 竟然把我们跟祂连结在一起 "We belong to Him" 我们是属于祂的
29:47
This is very important 这件事情是非常重要的 We belong to Him 而我们是属于祂的 A people for His own possession Not as an individual for God's possession 不是我们是属神的个人 But as a group 我们是一群人 Through the church we become a people for His own possession 借着教会我们成为属神的百姓 This is very important 这是很重要的一件事情 Seldom do we talk in this way 我们比较少这样子谈 We more often talk about individuals We are chosen and we belong to God 我们被呼召来 我们属于神 We become His children 我们成为祂的儿女 But do you know? When we became a group 当我们成为一个群体的时候 God specifically says 神也独特的说 "You are a group who belongs to Me" 你们这一群人是属于我的 "You are connected to Me" 是跟我有连结的 "You are related to Me" 是跟我有关系的 I would like to invite you to think about In your cell group life 在你的小组的生活里面 Or in the working of your ministry team Is the relationship with God kept? We are accustomed to past patterns of success 我们很习惯一些过去的成功模式 Or experience 成功的经验 Whether in our ministries or in our work 不管是在服事上 在工作上 We're like that 我们都是如此 To a point that these successful experiences 以至于这些成功的经验 Or others' successful experiences 或是别人成功的经验 They become the target for us to conform to or pursue But we need to renew our minds What we really need to pursue is our relationship with God
30:47
What we really need to pursue is our relationship with God 是我们跟上帝的关系 It is God Himself 是祂本身 God is who we need to pursue As for the church of this generation When we focus on our relationship with God When we keep this relationship We can then be flexible enough to keep renewing our mind We can then be flexible enough to keep renewing our mind Since coming to Banner Church It has been many years 已经好多年了 I must say that Banner Church is a very flexible church I must say that Banner Church is a very flexible church We never have things that are fixed 我们永远没有固定的东西 We're constantly changing 我们一直在改变 We're constantly renewing and innovating We're constantly trying new things 我们不断的在尝试新的事情 Exploring new frontiers 探索新的领域 I am not saying our church is perfect I am saying we're trying our best To respond to God's leading for this church For we belong to Him 因为我们是属于祂的 We know this clearly 我们非常的清楚 The ultimate purpose of the church is to become the glorious bride of Christ The ultimate purpose of the church is to become the glorious bride of Christ 是要成为基督荣耀的新妇 And this is why 这就是为什么 This relationship, this connection is so crucial Because the church's ultimate purpose is to enter into a relationship Because the church's ultimate purpose is to enter into a relationship 是要进入一个关系里面 Notice this 注意喔 The bride of Christ is the church 基督的新妇是教会 Not an individual 不是我们个人
31:49
You might ask what is the difference? For if the bride of Christ is each of us as an individual Then we just need to take care of ourselves If each person's ultimate purpose is to be the bride of Christ If each person's ultimate purpose is to be the bride of Christ But God's ultimate calling is for us to become a group But God's ultimate calling is for us to become a group Then this group becomes one 然后这个群体同归于一 And becomes His bride 成为祂的新妇 So becoming the Bride of Christ Includes an intimate connection with God And our intimate connections with each other 还有我们众人紧密的连结 Because it is on the basis of our connections That we build a deeper relationship with God This is called the bride of Christ It is not a unique or individual thing It is not a unique or individual thing That's why the church is so important And it is why this church The churches of this age must follow Jesus We need to put more focus on our relationship with Him 我们需要更多的看重 We need to put more focus on our relationship with Him 我们跟祂的关系 Because that's where we are going Lastly let's go back to the Book of Romans chapter 12, verse two So what is the purpose of being transformed by the renewal of your mind? It is to discern the will of God
32:54
In First John it says 约翰一书是这么说的 John said 约翰说 I especially want to invite you 我想要特别邀请大家 If your weekly has this Scripture Please circle the words, "Does the will of God" 你把遵行圈起来好吗 遵行 What I want to stress is I wonder if you are the same as me When I read the Bible I skip some keywords on purpose For example, the word "does" 譬如说 遵行这种字 I would skip it 就会被我跳过 Because it sounds very uncomfortable It is like forcing you to do a certain thing It is like forcing you to do a certain thing 做某件事情的感觉 So naturally 所以很自然在 You know that when you go through the spiritual health book 你知道在读属灵健保书的时候 You will 就是你会 Because there are a lot of Scriptures to read each day 因为每一天的量很多 You have to read them fast Fast reading results in skipping some key points 那很快的读就会跳过某些重点 For example "does" 譬如说遵行 But when we contemplate a Scripture When we meditate on it 好好沉淀 And we think about a Scripture for a while There will be an awakening So I want to awaken The essence of this Scripture is doing the will of God
33:56
Just knowing the will of God is not enough We need to really do His will For our lives to become connected to eternity For our lives to become connected to eternity So John said that we need to make a choice To love the world or to love God This is the meaning of holiness Being holy, it is the same choice Because when we choose God We choose to build a relationship with Him 我们就选择跟祂建立关系 And when we choose to build a relationship with Him 我们选择跟祂建立关系 We choose to be more like Him 我们就选择跟祂越来越像 And when we choose to be more like Him 我们跟祂越来越像 We live a holier life This is the same thing So John said, "You need to choose what to love" 所以约翰说 你们要做好选择 So John said, "You need to choose what to love" 要爱什么 And he told us 而他告诉我们 "The world is passing away along with its desires" 世上的情欲会过去 "But whoever does the will of God abides forever" 但是遵行神旨意的是永远长存 Therefore we need to live this out 所以我们需要活出来 We need to discern what is the will of God And to live it out 并且真实的活出来 So that our lives change So following Jesus I must say Is not a one time decision It is a lifetime of choices Because it is a lifetime calling Because the things it connects are in eternity Because the things it connects are in eternity It is what we carry out in doing the will of God It lasts forever, it is not temporary
35:00
It is not because of a sudden prompting That we do the will of God But in all the days of our lives We constantly make this decision 我们必须不断的做出这个选择 We follow God 我们跟随神 我们跟随祂 We keep doing His will So the last heading I want to share with you is 所以最后一个标题 So the last heading I want to share with you is 我要跟你分享是 Discern God's will to be faithful to our calling Every one of us has a calling And the will of God for us 都有上帝对我们的心意 We need to be transformed by the renewal of our minds 我们需要心意更新而变化 For us to discern 我们才能够去察验 The will of God in our lives And what exactly is our calling What Peter said later is the same. The excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light 那召你们出黑暗入奇妙光明的美德 This means 什么意思 就是 Peter was reminding his church Peter was reminding the recipients of his letter 彼得在提醒他所写信这些对象说 "You have to remember" 你们要记得 "Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" 那位呼召你们离开黑暗
36:01
