It's not big -- I just found this mindset, that I should live life harder. I'd say that you're already living your life extremely hard. So what does it mean to you, to "live life hard?" Could be seeing the ending of "Little Nightmares 2." Yeah, it could be seeing the ending of Little Nightmares 2 faster. Or -- It could be getting a lot of MVPs. Hello! Hello Faker, this was an extremely important series for the playoffs, and you have defeated DRX on a convincing 2-0 performance. How are you feeling? Well, the playoffs are drawing close. And we had lost to DRX at the first round of the spring split, so I was wary of them. I'm especially satisfied about the fact we were able to beat them today, and on a clean 2-0. And you picked Zoe twice today, and had a great performance on both games ... The casters were also commenting, even from the first game, that you seemed to be on a peak form today. And indeed, you were landing the skillshots. Indeed, you were making the outplays. How satisfied were YOU with your own form and your performance on Zoe?
Yeah, it's true that my skillshots were landing. However ... But I myself didn't feel that I was on a peak form. I was overreaching at some moments. I think I can show an even better performance next time. Still, in the second game -- This must have been when you killed the opponent Syndra. You said "This is a mid carry," and had a slight smile on your face. I was watching, curious -- What were you thinking at that particular moment? I did predict that from that the mid-lane match up will become favorable from that point onwards. Also, I said it so I could boost the morale of the team. Sure. So you picked Zoe twice today, and -- This is a light-hearted question. At the drafting phase of the second game, Keria decided to hover Zed and Ahri. The moment they hovered, fans not only within Korea but around the world would have stopped their breath -- Expectant, whether you'll actually lock one of them in. On the broadcast interview, you said Zed and Ahri are, well, difficult to play at the moment. To pharaphrase. Hey, Everfrost is really popular right now. Are you sure we won't see your Ahri someday? Not even your Zed? People are hyped about it, that's all.
I'll play them "later." And when is this later? Just, later. Ah, sure. Ok, it's so difficult to push you on this subject. And of course, you must have been happy about today's victory because it was a revenge match for you. And also -- You have defeated Gen.G and DRX back-to-back. They are both teams you could possibly face in the playoffs. I did wonder, you must also feel good about building a good head-to-head record against these teams and maintaining a positive momentum. Because the playoffs isn't too far away. Winning every series is more important than ever, not just for the scoreboard, but also for building that momentum. So it is very meaningful that we have indeed won the series like this on a 2-0. Sure. And even T1's performance itself, the way the team played around the map, was one step ahead in joining skirmishes, was clean yet concise. That T1's macro today looked "modern." In the post-match broadcast interview for the previous match, Teddy said that it was easier to find a team synergy with this roster as this roster has played together before.
Faker, what is your thought on this statement? Well, this is a set of players that have worked together before. Our thoughts are aligned, in the way we communicate our thought, and so on. So I'd say some level of synergy is there. But we have begun to play together again only recently. There are a few areas we're lacking in. And the meta, the playstyle, has also shifted since the last time we had played together. So we'll still putting the puzzles together. In the broadcast interview, Faker, you said that yes, you are indeed happy with the 2-0 victory, but -- That you felt the performance is deficient in some parts, that you'd love to improve on them. In which areas do you believe the current T1 can improve upon leading up to the playoffs, despite today's positive performance? Mostly the macro aspect, as we are building this team synergy together after some break. I'd say there are some areas to improve there. And I also notice some areas of miscommunication during our in-game performance.
In that case, if this T1 -- That has already taken down Gen.G and DRX recently -- does indeed improve on these aspects. As T1 has already confirmed the playoffs. May I hesitantly ask, how far can we expect T1 to make it in the playoffs? Or could be just your resolutions for the playoffs. Yes, we have a long way to go, but if we do improve on the issues we currently have ... I believe we can more than enough make it to the finals and show you good performance on that stage. And just like that, countless fans around the worlds tuned in to you and T1's match today ... I always think about the countless eyes are on you, Faker. Even when you briefly hovered on Zed and Ahri, the reacting from the chat and the communities were explosive, discussing your old days, Faker. I am constantly reminded just how many people out there are watching your matches, watching your every move, Faker. More than I could ever fathom. And sometimes, I am curious -- How do you take all this in, Faker?
I am always grateful this level of attention that people are giving me. These days, my schedule seem to be extremely busy. So I don't seem to have enough free time in between to keep up to the public reaction, but ... But I am always grateful, at a corner of my heart. It's thanks to them ... That I found this longevity [as a player]. Still, you have been streaming often. I do watch you playing that game, Little Nightmares 2? Between your solo queue games. I find it too scary to play myself, so I'm living vicariously through you. You still manage to stream regularly, and I know you are active on Instagram now and then. So Faker, you finding time to reach out to your fans even between your busy schedule ... Can you tell me about the effort, can you tell me about the initiative? Like, I really want to reach out to my fans. I want to let them know what I'm up to, in my everyday life. But these days, I'm focused on getting my performance on form. I'm ...
These days, I've been doing some self-reflections. I don't seem to have that peace of mind. So I haven't been finding enough time to reach out to the fans, which I am with apologetic for. From here onwards -- When we get our performance back on track. I'll find and make some time to reach out to my fans. You said self-reflections. I simply have to ask here, what do you mean by that? It's not big -- I just found this mindset, that I should live life harder. I'd say that you're already living your life extremely hard. So what does it mean to you, to "live life hard?" Could be seeing the ending of "Little Nightmares 2." Yeah, it could be seeing the ending of Little Nightmares 2 faster. Or -- It could be getting a lot of MVPs. And you have won the MVP today, and certainly have taken a step towards that initiative. In so many ways, Faker, you have never really changed. In a way you approach your fanbase. Your hunger for more victories, perhaps more MVPs. Faker, you've been active as a player for so many years. This might be a tangential question, but -- Faker, is there any way you have CHANGED, in a way you approach or see all of this, since you first began as a player and now?
The way you see things ... The way I see things? The way you see the game. The way you see professional gaming. Could be many different things. Anything that perhaps changed? I was just curious. Right now -- I'll say the way I see the game itself hasn't changed that much. And I have done this before, and I continue to do so -- I keep researching and thinking on how I could perform better, which champions are better, which playstyles are better. I guess the way I see the games hasn't changed too much. Perhaps I also wanted to pry you on how you see the professional gaming in itself, but your answer is perfect as it is. Faker, thank you for this interview. And once again, congratulations on today's victory. Finally -- The playoffs are just around the corner, the regular season is drawing to close soon ... Once again, do you have any words to your fans? I'd appreciate it. You worked hard. Yes, the regular season is also important -- But this year, the playoffs is more important than ever.
I'll make sure I keep my health in check, and work hard so I can show you the best performance. And ... I'll work hard to give the fans the result they want.
