i'm scott those that don't know me now you do all right so what i'm doing now is i'm going to attempt digitally to show you how to use a hydropath um and into all the different parts of the hydra bath and everything else what we're working with today is a twin tub dual heater hydra bath so it's got two heaters in it there's two tubs in it and it's often something that's used in like a mobile dog brimming unit or something like that so that's what you'll be looking at so first thing i want to run through is all the parts
00:34
don't get me wrong because i don't know all the names of all the parts i'm going to call some things thingamajiggy's but that's okay we'll work through it we'll we'll just work it as we go all right so i'm going to start by looking down into here now this side you can if you look at the bottom of the hydrobathin itself you can see you've got two plugs here like here all right this one here goes out to la la land out to the surrey jack to wherever the water goes to bendigo basically so it goes down there out there and disappears forever right
01:04
so if that plug's not in any water that's been pumped into this path is going to go into wastewater okay this one here makes the water go into here which is called the wash tank okay so if i put the plug in here i'm going to stop the water from being able to flow out through here right so the water's not going to go into the wash tank it's going to go out to the sewage that's called the water if i put the plug in there which is where i want it to be but it's going to stop the water from going out there and it's going to make any water that i have go down into the
01:35
washing okay so this side here that lifts up like this blue bit here that lifts up is called the wash tank all right now in here we have a heating element which is here right and beside the heating element is a float this bit here right so this flow as soon as the water goes above that level the heater turns on so whether you have the heater turn on or off doesn't really matter it's not going to come on until the water's over this load level this here suction something or rather this one sucks the water up right and recycles the same water around the ground so when
02:06
this is full of water the water sucks in here it comes out here okay and it'll just keep going round and round and round and round and round so that's our wash tank they're all the parts of the wash tank all right this here is the rinse tank okay the rinse tank has a float unit yeah and it has a drain in the bottom of it basically so what we do in this one is we fill that up with water and that stays full all the time so the water
02:36
stays in there most most of the time the water in there stays in there and just stays it also has a heater in it and it also has another float in it down the bottom so once the water level gets over a certain point the heater heat the heater kicks in and warms basically this one has a top that sits on it like so so you can't actually see what's going on under there right it's all happening underneath while the dog's standing in the bath but this one always has a fresh clean water in it and the other one has water that you're using to wash the dog all right now we need to look at this side can i
03:08
do that i don't know if i can oh okay that's right recording again as we go all right so looking here now we're going to look at all these parts down here all right what i have here this is our outlet hose of course which is just for this one here all right this has yes you can this has a knob on here dig my jiggy knob on here all right that one turns on and off you can reduce the flow of the pressure of the water by adjusting that slightly all right and also when it's turned off like that it does
03:43
sometimes stop an air lock happening over time but it doesn't need to be it can pretty much stay like that but that's what that is designed for all right these knobs and everything here first of all these work as our plugs both of these so we've got a rig's tank plug open it up like that that plugs in if i put it down like that the plug's out so the water is going to go away and it's going to disappear into china land or wherever it goes this one here up plugs in down comes out that's simple all right
04:15
this here is our control switch which goes from a rinse tank to a wash tank so i talked about the two tanks you've got one here which is a red's tank and one over here which is a wash tank rinse tank him over there wash tank when that's pointing to wash it's going to recycle that same water around as i as i explained before or the suction part it's going to basically suck it in and put it back out through the hose and when i flip it over here it's going to take the water from this rinse tank and it's going to put it as the hose so one's going to give us fresh clean water and the other one's going to give us
04:46
recycled water into knobs up to 40 degrees both of them now up to we normally sit them around about 30 degrees but as the water takes a while to heat up we i tend to try and increase the temperature just so it works really well here and wash wash is our unsweet so when i flip that it's not going to go why not i say it all right um wash when we hit wash it turns it on when you heat it up it turns the heater
05:24
on back as we've got floats on both sides i can have the heater turned on but it's not actually going to burn out because it won't um it won't actually do anything until the floats are over the first thing i'm going to do is i'm going to walk around to here to the tab and what that is doing is pouring water into here right now that water's going down the plughole and disappearing yes we all agree so what i need to do if i go back around the other side what i need to do is put the plug in
06:02
actually so i pull this knob up here this part here is a float and that gets to a certain level it's going to switch off [Music] now if i was going out hello if i was going out to a job as a mobile groomer or something like that i would have this done at home i'd have it filling up have it going and the heaters would kick in as soon as the float level hit the right right level and it will get to a point where it stays and sits at that temperature ready for me to wash the dog when i get to the place i'm going to basically
06:43
all right so as this currently is pointing to rinse tank down here rinse tank plugs in if i turn this on now if i hit this button here now it will take water from here and it will start pumping water out all right which i can almost do oh yeah the reason it's doing that is because i don't have enough water or there's not enough water basically in the rings tank to be able to do it so i need to wait for that to be able to be filled up um all right so once that fills
07:16
we're going to start on how to wash the dog so i'm going to pause there for a moment and then we will um resume when it fills up [Music] started all right so i had a pause there i filled this one up so our rinse tank is now full that's full of water this float has popped up but stopped filling up that's now heating so that will technically heat up to 40 degrees but of course it's gonna take a long time to hit 40 degrees but if i were out somewhere doing something um or mobile i would have that heating
07:51
up and sorting what i need to do now again prior to me going out on my mobile run but this wash tank also has its own heater so what i can do is i can fill this wash tank up before i leave right so that i can have two tubs of nice warm water when i get to groom the dog so what i need to do if we put the camera on the front here let's put this plug in here sorry got it put this plug in here okay so both of those are in the up position which means both of those will
08:23
not drain water out so they're going to hold the water when i this is pointing to the rinse tank when i turn the wash switch on here the hose is going to go back to the bar i'm now filling up this wash pin and what that's going to do once it gets over the flow that's going to increase that will start warming up and heating up that water as well so i have nice fresh water to wash it off a nice restaurant now remembering what's happening here we
08:53
look back down here this rinse tent is now this floats dropped down because i'm taking the water out of that and putting it into the washer so we need to understand the concept that by having it on rings i'm taking water out of this side and it's going away all right when it's going what it's using the other thing so right now it's filling up i need to make sure it's over the float and i need to make sure the heating element is covered right so if this were happening like so it goes down here it comes out there [Music]
09:23
so now underneath here that's exactly what's going on the water's going down here and into here remember if i had this plug out it wouldn't be going into there it'd be going away up to series land so once i'm satisfied that there's enough water in there if there is enough water in there i can put them off so and i can jump in my car and chew the line off with my little trailer or whatever else i want to do and i can go off into my first job that i have to go to for the day and i'll have nice fresh water when i get to that job this is where our dog washing starts
09:57
once i get to that job i'm going to get the dog i'm going to prepare it for the bath as i do in normal situations and then i'm going to put it in the hydro bath so we'll take our door out okay step the dog up into the bath we'll use a grooming loop we'll use a grooming loop like so and we will hook that onto one of these clips in the bath and that will restrain the dog in the bath and hold him in there while we wash him okay
10:36
all right once that dog's in we put our door back on [Music] and we're ready to go so picturing the fact that there's a dog in here now standing there we know what's going on underneath this floor all right we need to use this water here this nice fresh warm water hopefully for the dog okay the way i'm going to do that is to switch this switch here over to the wash tank
11:09
and i'm going to hit go with the wash button so this water is now going to wash the dog we're taking water out of here with water back into here so it's just recycling the same water so once it's down like so it's going round and round i'm washing it off i can wash that dog for as long as i like it's going to be the same water going around around the same water that water's going to get dirtier and dirtier and readier and dirtier i'm going to put shampoo on i'm going to scrub the dog i'm going to clean the dog and then i'm going to keep washing it with the same water remembering this is now soapy horrible
11:42
revolting dirty water that i'm washing the dog in all right so once i'm satisfied that i've soaked the dog up enough and cleaned it off the skin and coated up i'm then going to move on going to need to rinse the dog so we'll switch off our wash we'll switch off our little wash tank and what we then need to do is get rid of all of this water that's in here okay so how i'm going to do that is on the front here open the plug now this water
12:13
is slowly draining away okay it's going down the plug hole in the bottom and it's draining away to wherever what it goes and bending over all right i still have this one here nice and warm and full of fresh water because i haven't actually used it right so it's sitting there with nice clean water i now have a disgustingly soaked up dog that's technically cleaned but it's covered in dirty water right and i need to get that clean the reason i need to make sure that i open i empty this first is if i start pumping water back into this it's going to keep filling up until the whole bar
12:44
this is not a good idea all right so on the front once i've drained my water here i need to turn this over to rinse and that's going to start taking that nice clean fresh clean water that i've got in here that's nice and warm sitting at 40 degrees or whatever it's sitting at um it's going to start take draining water from there and it's going to drain out into the wash tank but of course the plugs open here so we don't have to worry about that wash tank filling up too much when i hit wash again now taking this fresh clean water he's going to be walking down here
13:17
nothing's in there okay now what will happen at this point is the rinse water will get cold because remember this water can only do so much it's got a heating element in here but it can only do something you need to be reasonably quick when you're reaching the dog otherwise the water will get cold so depending on the day and the temperature and what have you will depend on how it's going to be just keep that in mind that you are going to run out of more water all right once i've recently don't get on satisfied ingredients properly i'll
13:51
switch the wash print off again and that will continue to fill and i'll just leave that filling because that's going to be nice that's going to be nice and warm for the next dog and hopefully once that's full i'll drain i'll put some water into the wash tank and that will make that will mean that i'm going to have water warm water get in the wash tank if i go to the next job of what i do basically all right so that is the complete way of how to wash a dog in a hydro bath as i said it's a twin tub double heater hydrabath so it's um
14:22
a fairly sophisticated hydraulic as far as hydraulics go there's a lot involved in it and a lot of work involved in it the last thing we need to do at the end of the day is clean the bath okay so what we're going to end up with we look back in here this here is going to be filthy dirty and disgusting okay so what we're going to do is fill that up so how do i fill it up if we remember we'll go back one more time we put our plug in we'll switch him over to wash tank because that's the tank no sorry i'm telling a lie i'm staying on a rinse tank and i'm turning it on
14:54
water from this side over to this side all right once that's full or once that's over this process over this one here won't take very long at all at this printer all right so once i get to that level i'm then going to switch now remember i'm going to finish the wash tank i don't have to switch it off every time i switch it under the wash tank if i know that i can go quickly and do it i can just do that while it's still running so don't essentially stop
15:38
what now that's recycled the same water okay i can get any type of cleaner disinfectant there's hydrobase cleaners you can get on the market those sorts of things whatever i get i can put that into the water and that resizes that water around around it goes through the pump through the hose turns everything out i can then use it between the whole hydrogen what i don't want to do is put too much clean or too much of anything in this rinse tank it's very hard to empty yeah i can get a scrubbing brush in there like this sort of thing here
16:34
and really get those really get those cleaners and stuff and disinfectants and get it get it all through so that it's nice and clean and stuff at the end of it every day once that's done looking at me once that's done we can drain out the water finish everything off and empty it all out and leave it empty ready for the next day in the morning i'll go back again and i'll set it all up again so to drain it all we have this one take the plug out this one now i haven't turned this at all because this is the rinse tank and i've always wanted that to keep refilling but at the
17:05
end of the day we open that one up which strains the water out and you know what this side looks like i'll go around the other side turn the tap off would stop that one from filling up and we are done that is how you use a hydro bath it's awesome but it does take a little bit of practice it can be a bit tricky and it seems easy when i do it and i seem to know what i'm doing sometimes but when you have a go at it you'll be able to work through step by step and do it so basically complete unit and that's done oh don't forget turn the heater off as well
17:39
thanks guys see ya
