in this video we're going to walk through how a student would submit to a turnitin assignment i'm inside my student account if i go to my assignments tab i can see my turnitin assignment when i open that up i can submit to the assignment all i've got to do is click submit assignment if i scroll down i have the option of file upload or text entry depending on what my instructor chose and then i can choose a file from my hard drive and add that file
00:35
i can add another file if i would like to i can add comments if i want to i need to check the box to agree to the agreed to the end user license agreement and then click submit assignment lets me know that i have submitted successfully i have the ability to resubmit up here when i clicked on that resubmit button i can visit my submission details and if i see a little clock here that means that it's still being run through the turnitin databases checking for
01:10
similarity this can take up to 10 minutes depending on how large that file is depending on how busy the turnitin servers are typically it takes about 30 seconds to two minutes for it to run through once that runs through students would then be able to click on the score and open up the similarity report i refreshed my screen you can see now i have this flag here this red flag lets me know that my similar score is quite high

colors will denote what percentages those students scores come in at but if a student now clicks on that flag they just need to accept the in loser license agreement one more time and they will get a short preview of understanding the similarity report i can click let's go and it will walk me through what the percentages mean and how to view the report but that's how easy it is for a student
