Patch 11.8 is jam packed with a ton of massive item and champion changes so our team at skillcapped is set to bring you guys the lowdown on how everything will shape out. We've got buffs to darius and morgana jungle along with some more nerfs to thresh while hecarim has miraculously managed to dodge the nerf bat. Just before we get into it, what are your thoughts regarding riots plans to buff these unconventional junglers. We'll see buffs to zed, darius, mordekaiser, diana and morgana for 11.7 targeted towards speeding up their clears. Personally i'm all for increasing jungle diversity as long as it's done right and the buffed champions don't end up completely bonkers. We'll have to see how these new junglers perform throughout the patch but let us know what you guys think of the buffs down in the comments below! Smash the subscribe button and hit the bell while you're down there so you don't miss another upload and with that said let's get started! With that said, lets get started! As per usual we'll begin by breaking down the item changes and discus which champions you should expect to see on the rise or taking a step back. Frozen heart is receiving a pretty hefty buff as the armor will be increased from 70 up
01:00
to 80. Few champions tend to incorporate frozen heart into there core build path with the exception of nasus but we could definitely see frozen hearts priority rise for 11.8. Nasus along with Malphite and Cho'gath will become indirectly stronger from this buff and should be looking to purchase frozen heart second against heavy AD comps who are auto attack reliant. Moonstone renewer will have its stats adjusted as the base heal will be changed from 50 scaling to 100 based on level down to 60 at all levels. The second change will remove the effect where being in combat would increase the base heal by 12.5 percent up to a max of 50 percent. In exchange, each second in combat will increase heal and shield power by 4 percent up to 20 percent max. the third change is to moonstones mythic passive as you'll now gain 10 extra base healing on the passive instead of 5 ability haste. All in all these changes should end up pretty power neutral so don't expect enchanters to become much stronger or weaker. Often bought in combination with moonstone is staff of flowing water and it will see an adjustment as well.
02:01
The rapids passive will be changed from granting 15 percent movespeed and 20 to 40 ability power for 3 seconds to now granting 20 ability haste and 20 to 40 ability power for 4 seconds. Gold value wise this change will end up a nerf as 15 percent move speed is worth more than 20 ability haste however its not a massive difference. The move speed from staff to help kite around and peel is really nice however extra ability haste can also turn into more mobility for certain champions with dashes. The change should end up pretty power neutral but it will really come down to the situation and champion as to whether you're gaining more or less value out of this adjustment. Yet another support item is seeing a power shift for 11.8 as shurelya's battlesong is next in line. The inspire passive where you would empower the next 3 damaging instances to deal an additional 35 scaling to 55 magic damage is being removed. Replacing inspire will be a new passive called motivate and upon protecting or empowering another ally it will grant you and your ally 25 percent move speed for 1.5 seconds.
03:03
This new passive can be proced once every 4 seconds. The mythic passive will be altered from 3 percent movespeed to now 5 ability haste per legendary item. So overall you're losing some all in damage for more kiting power. Against heavy dive compositions shurelya's will provide so much strength now as the extra movespeed will be really great to keep champs like hecarim off your carries. Like the previous changes though it really comes down to the situation you're in as to whether this adjustment is a buff or a nerf so it should end up on a similar power level to before. Rocketbelt see's a decrease in durability as the health will drop from 350 down to 250. In exchange the item will now provide you with 6 flat magic penetration. Gold value wise this is actually a nerf as the 100 health is worth more than 6 magic pen. This change is pretty solid as it will give assassins like ekko, diana and katarina more snowball power but at the same time make them easier to take down leaving less margin for error. Chemtech putrifier is receiving a pretty nice change as the ability power will be increased from 50 up to 55. A small buff to help incentivise support players to build chemtech as a second item against
04:07
heavy healing enemy compositions. And then we have two very straight forward item nerfs for 11.8, the first going the way of titanic hydra. The HP to AD conversion is being changed from 1 percent total HP to now 2 percent bonus HP. To put this into context a level 12 urgot at his titanic hydra and stridebreaker spike would gain 21 bonus AD prior to this change. Post nerf you'll be gaining 14 bonus AD at level 12 with titanic and stridebreaker complete. So based on that math the change is a pretty solid nerf and will see diminishing returns on urgot's mid game for 11.8. It feels like everyone and their grandma have been building lucidity boots for a while now so riot will be hitting the item with a minor nerf. The cost of lucidities will be increased from 900 up to 950 gold. This will slightly hit many different champions across the board but really shouldn't be enough to warrant the item a bad purchase. It just means it wont be the number 1 most broken boots option for every single game. Lets move onto the top lane changes now as we have a bunch of tweaks for yorick. Turns out the changes last patch have left yorick slightly over tuned.
05:10
To combat this riot will be nerfing a few abilities but also giving compensation buffs in return. The first buff will cause tower agro to latch onto mist walkers instead of yorick when mist walkers attack the enemy. This will make yorick a lot more oppressive when ahead to relentlessly pressure you under tower. The second buff is exactly the same as the first but this time with yorick's maiden. When maiden attacks the enemy under tower it will now draw agro instead of yorick. And then one more tower agro buff will see towers prioritize minions over the maiden whereas before the maiden would always take agro first. This is absolutely huge for yorick's split push power. Now moving onto the nerfs, yoricks mist walker damage is being reduced from 2 scaling to 99 down to 2 scaling to 88. The AD ratio on mist walkers will be reduced as well going from 30 down to 20 percent. Mist walker damage on marked enemies will be reduced from 200 down to 100 percent. To compensate though, marked enemies will now take 40 percent increased damage from the next 8 mist walker attacks. So in the grand scheme of things, these changes seem pretty solid.
06:11
Some nerfs to yorick's damage in trade off for more tower pushing power and oppressiveness when ahead will likely see yorick come away from these net neutral or even positive. Our analysts believe yorick will remain in OP tier however if the damage nerfs end up more impactful than we think we'll fill you guys in during our mid patch update tier list. Mundo will receive a little overhaul for 11.8 as riot will be trying to shift him out of the jungle and back up to the top lane. Mundo's passive healing will be increased from 1.5 percent max HP up to 2.5 percent max HP. Q minion monster cap will be reduced from 300 scaling to 500 down to 100 scaling to 500. Q health refund on champion hit will be increased from 50 up to 100 percent. And then e flat bonus AD will be decreased from 40 scaling to 100 down to 30 scaling to 90. Top lane mundo will shift up from C into B tier as a result of this buff but with grievous wounds being so accessible and shutting down so much of this healing we still don't see mundo being very competitive. A shift in power from mid back up to top lane is what riot is trying to achieve with the
07:14
rumble changes. Magic resist will be reduced from 32 down to 28. Magic resist per level is reduced from 1.25 down to 0.75. Passive bonus magic damage will be changed from 25 scaling to 110 to now 10 scaling to 50 plus 6 percent of the targets max health. Also while overheated rumble will now gain 50 percent attack speed. These 2 changes will make rumbles all in power much stronger. A new affect to rumbles e will be added so that it reduces the enemies magic resist by 10 percent for 4 seconds. A danger zone e will shred for 15 percent instead of 10. Now with all these changes in mind, against AD top laners rumble will be a much stronger pickup now. AP matchups will become even worse though so his blind pick ability will remain on the weaker side. For now we will be placing the fire spitting yordle in A tier as we see him having much more success in the majority of his top lane matchups. Another nerf to gnar is headed his way for 11.8 as his w movespeed will be reduced from 30 scaling to 75 percent down to 20 scaling to 80 percent.
08:15
A pretty solid chunk of kiting power removed in the early stages which will render gnar much more vulnerable to those counter matchups like irelia, yasuo or sylas. We had already moved gnar down to A tier as a result of his nerf from 2 patches ago along with the stridebreaker bugfix nerf. This nerf could very well push gnar down even further however it will be very close so he'll remain in A tier for now. So having a complete look at our top lane tier list we have yorick, wukong, urgot and riven in the OP tier. Urgot will surely feel the affects of the titanic hydra nerf so he won't be as braindead broken as before but will still remain in OP. If the nerfs hit urgot harder than anticipated we could be looking to drop him into S for our mid patch update. If you're looking to dabble with some rumble this patch the gnar matchup is actually one he's performing very well into at the moment so trying rumble in that matchup would be recommended. Yorick will now join garen and urgot as the top 3 low elo picks for 11.8 The best bans will include darius, malphite and yorick as they are all picked a ton and have very high influence over games.

A massive set of buffs to unconventional junglers are dropping this patch and lets start off by looking at darius. The hand of noxus will have his passive monster damage increased from 175 up to 300 percent. At one point on the PBE riot had it all the way up to 500 percent which would have been completely insane. Taking into account darius Q aoe damage along with this buff, his clear will surely be on the stronger side. At the same time pre buff darius jungle holds a 42 percent winrate so it would be very optimistic
10:20
if we were to place him any higher than C tier. Diana is a champion we've seen played in the jungle throughout previous seasons but its been years since she's actually seen viability. Diana will receive two different really nice buffs to speed up her clear. Passive damage amplification against monsters will be increased from 150 up to 300 percent. Passive attack speed will also be increased from 10 scaling to 40 percent up to 20 scaling to 40 percent. These buffs honestly seem a little bit overboard as the effectiveness of diana's passive rises by 50 percent against monsters. Diana has more success than darius in the jungle pre buff and because these buffs are more impactful we will be placing her slightly above in B tier. Mordekaiser is next in line for some jungle buffs as his passive damage to monsters is being changed from a cap of 28 scaling to 164 to now a flat 180 cap at all levels. Basic attacks and spells will now grant passive stacks and refresh on damage to all monsters. This is absolutely huge for morde jungle as he'll be able to blast through his clear. The fact you've got aoe damage from q, e and passive will allow you to decimate raptors,
11:23
wolves and krugs We expect morde to land in a similar spot to diana. Morde actually wins 49 percent of the time in the jungle throughout 11.7 so adding on these buffs will turn him into a legitimate force. Morde will be placed in A tier as a result. Morgana jungle will have her clear speed accelerated as W bonus damage to monsters will be increased from 150 up to 200% Not as crazy as a buff compared to the previous champions however morg jungle isn't even half bad in 11.7 so riot likely wants to play it safer as a result. Morgana's early dueling potential will still remain pretty atrocious though so the potential to be exploited by early invades will remain a concern. There's a chance morg could land in S tier but our analysts more realistically see her holding down a spot in A tier after these buffs. Zed is the final champion receiving a buff to his jungle clear as his passive on target cooldown will no longer apply to monsters. Zed's passive monster damage cap will be changed from 200 scaling to 500 to now 300 at all levels but only applying to epic monsters. Out of all the changes our analysts see zed taking the short end of the stick.
12:26
These changes just don't seem as impactful as ones to the previous champions coupled with the fact zed jungle holds as 40 percent winrate on 11.7. Even if these changes were to bump that a few percent zed would still remain on the weak side so we will be placing him in C tier for 11.8. For the more conventional jungle changes now we have a small buff to lee sins e cooldown. It will be reduced from 10 down to 8 seconds. This buff will position lee very nicely for 11.8 and he will slot in as a good A tier pickup. A much needed buff to zac jungle should put him back in a decent spot for 11.8. W damage will be increased from 25 scaling to 85 up to 35 scaling to 95. The AP ratio on the max HP damage will be increased going from 2 percent per 100 AP up to 4 percent per 100 AP. Solid changes to zac which will speed up his clear and make AP variant builds even stronger now. The blob will be moving from B into A tier. And finally the rammus mini rework is set to hit the rift for 11.8 so let's get you caught up to speed on the armordillo.
13:29
First off rammus Q base damage will be reduced from 100 scaling to 240 down to 100 scaling to 220. Rammus W will be buffed as basic attacks now extend the duration of defensive ball curl by 0.4 seconds up to a maximum of 4 additional seconds. E taunt duration is being reduced from 1.25 scaling to 2.25 seconds down to 1.2 scaling to 2 seconds. and the change we've all been waiting for is to rammus's ult. Upon casting, rammus will now leap into the air and slam down dealing 100 scaling to 250 damage and slowing enemies by 15 scaling to 20 percent for 1.5 seconds. Aftershocks will be generated at the target location for 4 seconds dealing 20 scaling to 40 damage and stacking the initial slow up to four times. Damage near the center is increased by up to 150 percent based on distance traveled. If rammus ult is cast while in powerball enemies near the center are also knocked up and dealt powerballs collision damage, ending powerballs effect.
14:29
The cooldown of this new ult will be increased from 100 scaling to 60 up to 130 scaling to 90 seconds. The ult radius is 400 and the knockup radius is 200. Dash distance on ult is equal to 130 percent of rammus's average movespeed over the past 1 second. This will make running ghost over flash even more valuable now. Overall riot has toned down some stats on rammus's basic abilities but in return have blessed him with a much more valuable and influential ultimate. Our analysts believe these changes to be net positive for rammus and he will be moving from A into S tier for 11.8. So our jungle tier list looks way different than it did just a patch ago. The OP tier is the only tier that wont see any change as Shaco, Khazix, Elise and Hecarim are your best carry options. We'll be keeping a close eye on how the new jungle buffs affect all the unconventional junglers and provide you with a detailed update in our mid patch tier list. One other notable change is Mundo moving from S down into A tier. Mundos clear was already extremely unhealthy and the fact riot reduced his Q damage to monsters along with his E damage won't result in anything positive for the madman of zaun.
15:34
Our 3 low elo recommendations include amumu, rammus and volibear. The best bans for jungle consist of shaco, viego and hecarim. Alright so transitioning off those monstrous jungle changes let's have a look at the mid lane. Leblanc will have her q magic damage increased by 10 at all ranks and the damage from consuming the mark will also be increased by 10 at all ranks. This means 20 extra damage from a standard leblanc combo which will add some power back into her lane bully potential. We really like the direction of this change as it's not too over the top and will turn leblanc into a great A tier pickup. A buff to help cassio's mana issues is headed her way as her e mana cost is being reduced from 50 at all ranks down to 50 scaling to 42. 8 mana off may not seem like alot but since you max the spell first and it's a super short cooldown ability, that 8 less mana will start to add up and become very impactful pretty quickly. The buff won't propel cass into S tier but like leblanc we now see Cass as a really good A tier champ. Next up we have vladimir's Q cooldown being reduced from 9 scaling to 5 seconds down to
16:37
9 scaling to 4 seconds. 1 second off such a spammable ability at max rank will actually be more impactful than you'd think especially since vlad maxes Q first. Expect vlad to be a super good A tier option for 11.8 and he could even be on the verge of S if more changes go his way in the coming patches. One of two mid laners nerfed for this patch is orianna which is obviously in regards to pro play. Solo queue Orianna hasn't been in a great spot for a while now and with this nerf we'd recommend staying away from her. E bonus resistances will be decreased from 10 scaling to 30 down to 6 scaling to 30. Considering you don't even max this spell until last the power reduction at the earlier ranks will hurt pretty hard. Orianna will now be a C tier mid laner for this patch. We have a bit of a random nerf to annie for 11.8 as her w mana cost will be increased by 10 at all ranks. This really wont impact annie at all. She'll remain a low elo god tier pickup in our S tier. The entire mid tier list wont see any shifts for 11.8 as we still have galio, anivia and fizz as the OP picks. The rumble changes will reduce his power level in AP matchups however we expect him to become
17:41
even stronger against those AD mids like yone, yasuo and zed who are all picked a ton in the meta. For that reason we will be leaving rumble in S tier. The best mid laners for low elo include diana, malzahar and annie. Your highest value bans for the patch are yasuo, yone and zed. So with numerous changes going the way of mid and jungle riot has kept it on the lighter side for ADC and support. As expected Aphelios is the recipient of multiple buffs for 11.8. Passive lethality will be increased from 3 scaling to 18 up to 3.5 scaling to 21. Ultimate calibrum damage per mark is increased from 40 scaling to 100 up to 50 scaling to 110. Ultimate severum healing will receive a boost from 250 scaling to 500 up to 275 scaling to 525. R gravitum root duration is going up from 1.25 to 1.35 seconds. Ultimate infernum splash damage will be increased from 85 up to 90 percent. And then lastly R crescendum chakrams generated will be increased from 4 up to 5 extra.
18:41
Each buff on there own is pretty small but all combined will give aphelios a nudge up the tier list for 11.8. Aphelios will say goodbye to xayah and lucian in C tier and make his way into B. And with aphelios being the only change of the patch our tier list is pieced together nearly identical to our mid patch update. Jinx is the number 1 OP ADC for 11.8. Many champions follow in S tier as the power level of all ADC's are very similar at the moment. The best carries to climb out of low elo the fastest are veigar, tristana and sivir. If you're looking to add a marksman to your ban list one of samira, jinx or tristana will provide you the highest value this patch. Just one direct champion change to support for 11.8 with thresh seeing a nerf for 2 consecutive patches. E cooldown will be increased from 9 seconds at all ranks to 11 scaling down to 9 seconds. This change is once again targeted towards nerfing the w max strategy on thresh to push players back to maxing q first into e second. After 2 different nerfs now thresh will begin trending to the downside however our analyst
19:42
believe he'll remain hooked onto OP by a small margin for 11.8. If this nerf turns out more impactful and thresh does drop down to S we will update you guys in our mid patch tier list. Taking a look at our support tier list we won't have any movement during our pre patch update. Lulu, Leona and Thresh are your godlike pick or ban champs. As covered at the start of the video the changes to support items like moonstone, staff and shurelya's will have an impact on many supports but we expect the impact to be relatively neutral hence no shifts in the tier list. If certain trends pop up throughout the patch though we will be sure to give you the lowdown during the mid patch tier list. The 3 best low elo recommendations we have include brand, leona and swain. The most annoying and highly picked supports you should consider banning are leona, thresh and morgana.
