all right today we're gonna do a review of the air raid air intake system I have a 2013 Polaris 800 s and I didn't care for the stock intake system getting too much dirt in the air cleaner air filter so I put the air raid on it as you can see the air raid mounts on the outside when they give you a shot of the inside

here the tube goes up and it's got the rubber boot and then into the mounting into the where the air filter is all enclosed in there the overall installation was pretty simple everything bolted up really well so the design is really well itself today I went for my razors all cleaned up now but me and a couple friends we went for

a long ride today in very very dusty conditions I got this thing all washed up already but I left the air cleaner alone halfway through the ride we stopped at a bar and I pulled out the the pre-filter ran it underneath the sink and rinsed it out and a ton of dirt came out of it rinsed it out really well and squeezed all the water out and put it back in and we kept riding so what I

wanted to do now is I'm gonna what I'm gonna do is take off the air filter cover and we're gonna take a look inside and see how well the air ray didn't take system it actually did I'll be back in a minute alright well we're back here well what I'm gonna do now is we're gonna take out the pre-filter pull that out pre-filters kind of dusty

so it caught a lot of dust we made some light here I'll rinse that I will pop that back in for the next ride what we want to do with all this and we try to take a look in the tubes here and there's some dust around there I'm gonna put my finger in here see if there's any dust inside of there

excuse the shake you can't really get my finger in there so there's a little bit of dust in the tube itself so now what we're gonna do I'm gonna pull this boot off I'm gonna set the camera down here so there's there is some dust in there and you see there's dust on the - so the

dusts dust is getting through the pre-filter for sure I'm gonna take this pre-filter off on my next ride and I'm gonna replace this stuff this foam with a uni air filter they make up they make a 12 inch air cleaner that you can just cut out the size and I'm gonna try putting that in here to see if we can even stop

more dust so as we look inside here there's still some dust in here which is expected because we were really really dusty area the major difference here is there is no sand in it at all like on the stock razor where you'd feel you'd have piles of sand so there is not an

ounce of sand in it and I'll be back in a minute I'm gonna pull the air cleaner actually off don't take a look at it alright I'm back here and we have the filter off and I have the pre-filter on line so I'm just gonna pull this pre-filter off sooth to see what the air cleaner or the air filter looks like all right so the here's the air raid pre-filter now the air cleaner itself it

looks very very very good so I'm gonna clean that up and we're gonna clean it up but that looks really good what we're gonna do now is just take a look inside the actual intake let's see what we got in there and as you can see you can see that intake is just spotless spotless there's not an ounce of dust or sand or dirt in there so that looks

really really good so this thing is doing its job yeah I'll hold it here for a minute just so you can see sorry I'm shaking here I got the bone is not the best idea for our cameras just so you can see in there so that looks really good as you notice on the inside there is dust dust this did get by the pre-filter or not on the outside here which is expected because

it's not a real true filter but I have there is no sand in here whatsoever just dust that got through unlike the stock players where we will be pulling out big chunks of sand and stuff but again take a look on the inside and that is that's very very good very clean so that's the

review I'm gonna clean this up I'm gonna clean this filter up then I'm gonna replace this outer foam that comes with the air raid kit with a true unique filter I'll cut it I'll cut it to the exact shape here and I'm gonna post another review on the next ride and see we'll see if we'll see if that helps out as well so again that's the it's the
