Submitting Subtitles/CC for YouTube Videos

*AWESOME INTRO MUSIC* Hello everyone my name is Boto and today I'm going to be addressing a question that I received in a comment to one my videos that I posted much much Earlier how to caption YouTube videos with Amara! So the question said this: "Please, do you mind telling me how can I send subtitles to someone? I actually translated a video for someone and I still have it on amara! I don't know what to do with it. So, this is a pretty straight forward question, and it's got a pretty straighforward answer. However, it involves the video creator for it to be possible. So, if you made a subtitle submission for someone else, you can go to that video you subtitled, click on the gear icon, click on the Subtitles/CC button, and then if they have it enabled, you should see something that says "Add Subtitles/CC". If that is there, then you click it. However, as you can see, it is not there. So, for a video owner to enable it, they have to click on the video manager, They have to find the video they are going to enable it on, in this case it is this one right here. Go on edit, we go to the "Subtitles and CC" tab And the bottom right here, there is a "Community Submission" toggle. So, right now it is toggled off and now I will turn it on. Great! So now if we go to that video again.

and click on the gear icon, click on "Subtitles/CC", that button is now there!

So, once it's there, you can click it... and there is a big, blue button that says "Add New Subtitles or CC" Click that. You will find the language that you are translating into, and then you will submit your ".srt" file that you got by captioning your video with Amara. Now, after that, it is completely up to the video owner the video creator to approve your submission, and then once it is approved, it goes live. And that's all there is to it!
