Exporting Captions with CaptionTube
Let's export captions for YouTube. Clicking Export Captions shows three options: download the captions, email them to a friend or colleague, or copy and paste them into another editor. The dialog has links to upload the captions on YouTube. Note this link only works if you own the video. Most frequently I will download the captions and upload them to YouTube. The email option is handy when I want to caption a video I do not own and I know the owner's email address.
The copy and paste option is convenient if I want to quickly touch them up in my own editor
Let me show you how to upload them to YouTube. I'm going to download the captions. It looks like that they have been downloaded. and now I'm going to go to the YouTube page. I'm going to open that page in a new tab, switch over to it, I have some existing captions on this video that I will delete. Let me upload the new ones. I'll click Choose File, here it is, I'll click Choose and I'll give it a name, and I'll select the language and I'll click upload. That's it. and now you can see the captions in the video. That's it, thank you very much!
