If you think the Wilson Staff C300 driver is another club aimed at the game improver market, you would be wrong. This club is for the fast swinging better player. What? Yep! Single figure guys with high swing speed! Let's take a Golfbidder look Under The Hood. The C300 driver might seem a big departure for Wilson, who in fairness have become known for super solid equipment in the mid handicapper and up market, but dont forget they've been producing Major winning irons since before I was born, so they have pedigree! On first look, the C300 driver has a pear shaped bulbous stance behind the ball the with a distinctive high toe. The matt red finish and black finish is classy too, and coincidence or not, is very similar to some putters that are popular on Tour just now! The somewhat unfortunately titled, yet technologically advanced urethane filled "power holes" of the C200 irons have made their way into the C300 driver and again the philosophy is that

they allow the face to flex, and even more so at the heel and toe, during the strike, to promote higher ball speeds and thus distance. On the underside you'll find three interchangeable weight ports, with two 6 gram weights and a 2 gram weight. The two heavier weights are to the front in the default position, another indication that this is set up to be a lower spinning better players club. The C300 also has an adjustable hosel that lets you change down 1 or up 2 in half degree increments. Except for up 0.5 degrees for some reason. But look, the loft system might not be as refined as others but it really doesn't detract from the club. There's also a quality fujikura stock shaft; we always like that. In the office here we always liken that to renting a car and noticing it has Pirelli tyres! Overall it makes sense, given the success of Wilson's Triton driver of 2016 with its broad spectrum appeal and built for flat out distance, it makes perfect sense to bring the C300 driver, which will appeal to the better player, to market in 2018.
