How to Turn on off Closed Captions and Subtitles on YouTube Videos
Hey, Derral here. So you're trying to figure out how to turn closed captioning on and see the subtitles for the video you're actually watching. Well, in this training video I'm going to show you all the options that you can do with your subtitles, change the colors, all the cool things. So you don't want to miss it.
Alright, to turn those closed captionings on and off it's really easy.
All you need to do is mouse up to the CC button here in your video manager, go ahead and click on that
And what it's going to do is turn it on or you can switch it off. Now each video, basically YouTube will transcribe that video but anything that they say will be transcribed to text. Now, really good videos they'll actually upload the transcription, that's what I do for all my videos, so you can get an accurate thing of what they're saying. But also in the captions they give you an options section here allows you to increase the font size, change the fonts and so on. So I'm going to go ahead and change the font and basically the fonts it's going to go off of the fonts that you have on your computer. I'm going to go ahead and change this to Arial Black, let's go ahead and boost this up a little bit. And let's give it a background color here, and I want the background color to be magenta. And let's do my foreground color to be blue. And the cool thing about it is you can move it around; let's say I want it up here in the upper corner. And we can do that and you can go ahead and hit "Done". Now the great thing is you can adjust this at any time you can turn this off, you're good to go. Now there's another option I need to show you before we go, let me just hit pause here. If you come up to here, click on options again. There's also the "Account Playback Settings" This gives you the ability to, across the board, to always show captions. So if you have a hard time hearing or you might speak a different language and have a hard time understanding, you need to have the captions show up. You can actually click this button right here and each time YouTube loads a video it will always show captions. So I'm going to go ahead and click off. You can also do it where you show automatic captions by speech recognition; this is a really cool option. Now you really don't want to miss the videos that I have coming out every Monday and Thursday.
I have some really good tips coming your way, so subscribe to my channel and make sure that you don't forget about this time that we spent together in this video
